Global Climate Action Summit, CA gets VW diesel emissions settlement money, 88 Cities visits Arcadia

How California is leading the charge on global climate action, how VW's diesel emissions settlement money is being spent, a visit to the "Chinese Beverly Hills."

We check in on this week's Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco to see what plans are being discussed to curb climate change. Plus, three years after the California Air Resources Board announced Volkswagen was cheating on emissions tests with some of its diesel cars, we look at how some of the settlement monies are being spent in the state. And, as part of our 88 Cities series visiting every city in L.A. County, we stop in Arcadia, aka the Chinese Beverly Hills.

As a result, VW was forced to recall its offending vehicles and pay billions of dollars in fines. California is getting $1.2 billion, so how is that money being spent?

(Starts at 24:06)

A group of Cambodians who survived the Khmer Rouge are backing a Long Beach ballot measure that calls for an independent citizens redistricting commission. As they see it, the proposal gives them their best chance to consolidate their community, which was divided into four council districts after the 2010 census. Their leader is an energetic senior known as the Rosa Parks of Cambodians, who's known to take three modes of public transit just to get to a community meeting on redistricting.
