L.A.'s Proposal for an Unarmed Response to Substance Abuse Calls

The LA City Council voted to direct staff to explore a program where nonprofits would run a pilot program that uses unarmed civilians to respond to mental health and other non-violent calls now handled by police.

Census To End Early After Supreme Court Decision

Yesterday afternoon the Supreme Court gave the Trump Administration permission to end the 2020 Census early. And then last night.. the Census Bureau announced plans to do just that.
