We look at how the Santa Ana winds are affecting the area. Plus, how fans are reacting to the Los Angeles Dodgers losing to the Washington Nationals. And, Space X hosted NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine and two astronauts today to talk about the future of its commercial crew program.
POWER SHUT-OFFS
Power shut-offs are happening across the state. They're part of a larger effort to prevent wildfires as high winds sweep Northern and Southern California. To that end, Southern California Edison says it's cut power to nearly 13,000 customers in four counties, including Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Ventura. While the shutoff efforts are aimed at preventing loss of property and life, they're not without cost either. One Stanford energy professor even gave it a dollar figure: about $1.8 billion dollars a day.
