Mayor Eric Garcetti Joins Take Two

We sit down with L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti. He is a co-chair of Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign committee so we'll get his take on how California Senator Kamala Harris did in the debate last night against Vice President Mike Pence. We also discuss the state of the pandemic here in LA, while the number of coronavirus cases in the city have leveled off since their height in the middle of the summer, but we aren’t out of the woods yet and we're still far from reaching the benchmarks set by the state to fully reopen.

Cabins Update

The Bobcat fire has been burning through the San Gabriel Valley and Angeles National Forest for more than a month. In that time it's scorched more than 115,000 acres... leaving devastated homes, structures and communities in its wake. Residents of the Santa Anita Cabin community there have been waiting weeks to find out whether their homes have survived. Well, this they got an update. We'll hear from Ben Fitzsimmons, who is head of homeowner's association.

CA's Communication on Fires

And those happened only about twice a day. But the coronavirus pandemic has forced fire officials to adopt new ways to inform the public.

Social Media As a Political Influencer

Some of the latest political trends and news have come from an unlikely source: social media. People who might be too young to vote or ineligible are making huge impacts based on what they post to Twitter, Tik Tok and more.
