Los Angeles may get a legal street vending system, where does Cal Fire's budget stand following the Woolsey fire, heartbreaking photos of Camp Fire evacuees.

Street Vending

Street vendors are all over L.A. - we've all tasted or at least smelled bacon-wrapped hot dogs, etc. Yet in spite of years of wrangling, street vending remains illegal. L.A. city officials have been in limbo since at least the 90s over the prospect of letting street vendors take out permits so they can work legally and be regulated. Now, finally, the city might get a legal street vending system.

Cal Fire Budget

Cal Fire started its fiscal year with about $443 million dollars in the emergency fund, earmarked for a full year of firefighting efforts. That was in July. By September, almost all of that money was GONE. Leading CalFire to ask the state for another $234 MILLION. So where does the fund stand this morning after the devastating Camp Fire up north and the Woolsey fire here?

Malibu Rain

Rain is expected to hit the L.A.- area sometime after midnight tonight. The big concern is, of course, those area affected by the many fires that have burned throughout so many of Southern California's counties the last year. Voluntary evacuations have been put in place for the Holy Fire area in Orange County. But so far most are watching the forecast —and waiting. Including in Malibu, which was devastated by the Woolsey Fire.

Auto Show Automobility
