Use of Force Deal
A police “use of force” deal has been reached by California lawmakers who were seeking to rein in fatal encounters with officers. The measure, Assembly Bill 392 by Assemblymember Shirley Weber (D-San Diego), is now expected to pass the Assembly before next week.
USC Tyndall developments
University of Southern California gynecologist George Tyndall preyed on Asian students and had signs of "psychopathy." That's according to a confidential report made public this week after the L.A. Times filed a court order to access the document. According to the report, USC had received multiple complaints about Dr. Tyndall dating back to the 1990s but failed to refer him to the state's medical board.
