"Norco 80" tells the story of a botched bank robbery carried out in 1980 by a group of misguided survivalists who wanted money to build a bunker to wait out the apocalypse. In the end - they ended up creating a catastrophe rather than avoiding one. What followed was an all day standoff with local law enforcement that resulted in 33 damaged cop cars, many wounded, and two fatalities. The police felt they had been outgunned by this group of robbers and demanded larger weapons. In this special edition of Take Two, we bring you two conversations related to the events of the Norco bank robbery - one on the history of survivalism and another about how the event has shaped modern day policing.
