Among the many places opening back up on Friday - the Department of Motor Vehicles. Since the end of March, the California DMV had closed all its locations around the state and shifted several services online. Anything that couldn't be done online had their deadlines pushed back. But starting tomorrow 25 DMV field offices will again allow in-person business to be conducted. You can find the entire list of open offices here

Between what has been done so far during the pandemic, and a lawsuit that's pushing Los Angeles into federal oversight, there is opportunity to come up with new ways to help the poorest people in the city. One solution being considered is government-run homeless camps. KPCC's homelessness reporter Matt Tinoco takes you to the one at the West Los Angeles VA.
