Kemp Powers Has 'Soul' and Oscar Nom to Prove It

One film that's getting attention this Hollywood awards season is "Soul." It was just nominated for THREE Oscars - best Animated Film, Best Original Score and Achievement in Sound. The Pixar movie is about a jazz musician named Joe Gardner who lands his big break until his life takes an unexpected detour. Kemp Powers is the co-writer and co-director of Soul. He also wrote and executive produced the Oscar-nominated Amazon movie One Night In Miami, which was based on his own play.
