State Budget for Virus

Coronavirus Street Vendors
LA's foodservice industry has taken a massive hit with the advent of Coronavirus, with many restaurants forced to close down and lay off staff. But there's one part of the industry that's even more vulnerable: LA's thousands of street food vendors - many of whom must sell to survive. LAist's Erick Galindo shares his reflections.
Coronavirus Elementary School Teacher
The Los Angeles Unified School District closed down schools less than two weeks ago and on Monday it was announced that they will remain closed through May 1st at least. But even with social distancing guidelines in full effect in LA County, schools are finding ways to reach students. Teachers across the district are using online learning tools and making calls to families to keep kids learning and engaged. One of those teachers is Jennifer Trochez MacLean. She is a 2nd grade teacher at Gates Elementary in Lincoln Heights.

West Adams couple Edward Anderson and Clare Anderson Fox had a big wedding planned this past Saturday until the pandemic had its say. But even though life had other plans, they didn't let it get in the way of love.
