How LA and California MIGHT Achieve 100 Percent Renewable Energy
A few years ago, California passed “The 100 Percent Clean Energy Act of 2018." The goals are ambitious, 60% renewable energy by 2030 and a full hundred percent zero-carbon energy supply by 2045. You might think, given everything that's been going on, these are pretty lofty goals. But a study came out today that suggests the City of Los Angeles is not only capable of hitting those statewide goals, but actually doing it a decade earlier.
