The Sheriff's Corruption Proposal That Got a 'No Thanks' from DA Gascon
Last month, L-A D-A George Gascon received an unusual proposal from Sheriff Alex Villanueva. The sheriff wanted to create a special joint task force to fight government corruption and target dirty politicians. Gascon said no thank you. We take a closer look at why this was an unusual proposal and why the DA shot it down.

Glendale Unified Hope to Open in March; Union Says April is Better
School districts all over Los Angeles County are gearing up to have students back in the classroom. Some have already made the transition to in-person learning, like Palos Verdes Penninsula, or will very soon, like Compton, which will welcome kids back starting next week. Today we hear from Glendale Unified School District. Administrators have proposed March 23rd to reopen its elementary schools, yet the Glendale Teachers Association says that date is too early to guarantee the staff’s safety.

P-22 'looks good for an old cat,' says local Biologist.

Why 'Minari' is so American
The film “Minari” is about a Korean-American family that moves from California to Arkansas. It was shot entirely in the United States and tells a quintessential story of the immigrant experience in the U.S. The film has received rave reviews and just won a Golden Globe for best Foreign Language film, but because the majority of the film is in Korean, it did not qualify for best drama at the Golden Globes.
