Primary Turn Out
Election results have come back. It's looking like Bernie Sanders won California, and that a statewide school bond failed. But some races still hang in the balance, and we’ll have to wait until more votes are counted.

Coronavirus and Music Festivals
Companies from Amazon to Netflix have pulled out of the SXSW festival in Austin due to fears about the coronavirus and it remains to be seen if organizers will cancel it outright. Now that Los Angeles and Orange County have declared states of emergency over COVID-19, it's got us wondering here in Southern California what could happen with the many big events we enjoy every spring - from opening day at Dodger Stadium to the Coachella music festival next month.

Coronavirus and the Los Angeles Marathon
With emergencies being declared in Los Angeles and Orange Counties — and across the state — over coronavirus, everyone is on high alert. Earlier, we talked about how the operators of some of the regions' BIGGEST public events are preparing in case the risk increases...events music festivals and sporting events. Throwback Thursday: Thomas Mann House
During World War II, Los Angeles was the launchpad for one of Germany's most beloved authors to start a series of radio broadcasts against Hilter and Nazism. For Throwback Thursday, we tell you the story of Thomas Mann and his addresses that he penned in Pacific Palisades.
Suffrage Movement History
In honor of women's history month, we're revisiting a conversation we had last fall about the women's suffrage movement here in Southern California. Names typically associated with the fight for women's right to vote are Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. But that is just part of the story. We explore the foundational and essential work of African American women in that movement in California and beyond.
