When religion is used to defend the government

Attorney General Jeff Sessions was quoted earlier this month as saying "I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained the government for his purposes." This doesn’t sit well with many faith leaders, such as Nancy Frausto. She's an Episcopal priest in Long Beach, and was brought to the U.S. at age seven, without immigration papers. Los Angeles Police Department adds e-bikes to its bicycle fleet

You're sitting in traffic when suddenly a police officer's patrol lights and sirens come on. But as the vehicle attempts to weave in and out of the lanes, traffic stops it from making progress. It's times like these that bicycle officers come into play. And this week, they're getting an upgrade. Twenty electric bicycles are joining the Los Angeles Police Department fleet and could eventually replace its pedal-powered bikes.
