How To Stay Safe While Protesting?

Veterans Protests

While President Trump has threatened to deploy the military against protesters in American cities, some in those crowds are former service members themselves.  For some Black veterans, the demonstrations against police violence are a chance to find their voice. Megan Verlee reports for the American Homefront Project.. a public media collaboration that reports on American military life and veterans.

How To Talk To Your Kids About What's Going On

Ever since the death of George Floyd and the protests that have followed, our country has been engaged in conversations about race, social justice, protesting and policing. On Take Two, we started the week with a segment on how to talk with kids about all of this. We revisit an expanded version of that conversation now.

Freedom Dreams

This week we've been talking to experts and parents about how they're handling the times with their children. How and why one expert is encouraging her 5-year-old Jordan, 9-year-old Joah and 10-year-old JJ to create their own "freedom dreams."
