LA County officials have changed their recommendations for COVID-19 testing, California condors return and our newest podcast 'California Love' premiers.

Coronavirus Testing Status

Los Angeles County officials have changed their recommendations for who should get tested for COVID-19. Due to high demand for tests, priority will again be given to those who are showing symptoms, work in high-risk environments or have come in contact with someone who has been diagnosed.

Coronavirus PPP Loans By District

This week, the Small Business Administration finally released data on how the nearly $600 billion in Paycheck Protection Program loans were distributed across the country. Those are the small business loans created by Congress as part of the coronavirus stimulus package passed in March. We look over the data for small businesses in LA County.

Fish Bacteria

A bacterial outbreak is killing thousands of trout in some Southern California hatcheries. Those facilities are now under quarantine, with waterways in San Bernardino county being the most impacted.

California Condors

Some good news in the natural world: California condors have returned to Sequoia National Park for the first time in decades. In the early 80's, there were only 22 of the giant birds left in the world. Since then, captive breeding programs have boosted the California condor population into the hundreds. Now, those released birds are spreading out across the west.
