LA County is opening five large scale vaccinations sites in the coming weeks, including Dodger Stadium, which will start inoculating people Friday January 15th.

"ONE NIGHT IN MIAMI" WRITER HOPES FILM HUMANIZES BLACK ICONS

In 1964, Mohammed Ali, then known as Cassius Clay shocked the world when he won the heavyweight championship title at 22 years old. Instead of partying, he celebrated his win with three African American heros of the day-- the NFL star Jim Brown, the singer Sam Cooke and activist Malcolm X. The story of that night is told in the new Amazon movie "One Night in Miami," directed by Oscar-winning actress Regina King and written by Kemp Powers. Powers is also the co-writer and co-director of Pixar's "Soul."

PRODUCT OF THE PROTESTS: CITIZEN JOURNALISTS

Vishal, son of Indian immigrants, had never protested before, but was moved by the George Floyd protests to become one of the new breed of activist/citizen journalists. He chronicled the summer protests on his Instagram feed - and was doxed and threatened along with his parents and brother. At first they went underground. Now they are moving.
