Black Drivers Face More Police Stops
Across the state, police are stopping and searching black drivers at higher rates than whites and Latinos. That's according to a report released yesterday by the state Racial and Identity Profiling Advisory Board. That same report found that black drivers were searched nearly three times as often and accounted for 15% of all stops, though they only make up only about 6% of the state population.
