Democratic Debate Look Ahead

The debate is on! Democrats will converge on L.A. tonight for the SIXTH debate of the year. But only seven of the candidates have reached funding and polling thresholds to qualify. California is in a unique location for tonight's forum for several reasons: Primary votes will happen in March next year. A whopping 495 delegates are up for grabs. And the population is diverse both ethnically and politically. So what are the issues that the candidates should consider as they vie for voters in the Golden State and beyond?

LA Food Bank Holiday

Every month, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank gets meals to more than 300,000 people in the region who are what's called "food insecure" … people who simply don't have enough good, healthy food on a regular basis. Since 2008, KPCC members have tried to do their part to help -  and have donated meals along with their pledges to the station. During the end-of-the-year drive, we're hoping to reach $2 million mark.
