The future of Tejon Ranch

With the L.A. County supervisors set to approve the Tejon Ranch development in the exurbs at the northern end of the county, we look at how sustainable these far-out communities are. The Tejon Ranch homes will be built in a hot, dry, fire-prone area, far from the city center and jobs and so there are questions about where its power and water will come from and whether the cost of the community wipes out any savings from buying a house that far out.
