Can The CA Notify App Stop the Spread?

The new CA Notify app becomes available for all iPhone and Android users on Thursday. It's an opt-in app that Governor Newsom ensures will not track your location and will not infringe on your privacy. Similar exposure apps are already live in other states and countries. Will Californians opt in to the app? Can big tech help stop the spread of COVID-19 here?

How Does the Public Really Feel About LAPD ?

In the wake of nationwide demonstrations for racial justice and an end to police violence, Loyola Marymount University conducted a survey of Los Angeles residents to gage public  opinion of the LA Police Department. Some of the survey’s key findings - collected in the fall by LMU’s Center for the Study of Los Angeles - were presented during today’s meeting of the LA Police Commission.
