High School Students Share Personal Experiences With Racism on Instagram
Spurred by the Black Lives Matter movement, high school students and alumni at some of LA’s most elite private schools are using Instagram to share personal experiences with racism on their campuses. The anonymous reflections describe encounters with bias, racial slurs and exclusion from other students and even staff. They also call on administrators to make changes to school policies and curriculum. Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy and Marymount High School are among some of the schools linked to accounts sharing these stories.
