Deer Disease
Well, now there's a virus killing deer in Northern California. Fish and Wildlife says fawns in five NorCal counties have died from an outbreak of adenovirus hemorrhagic fever. It's rare as the last large outbreak in California happened in 1993 and 94 killing thousands of young animals as they are the most likely to die if they catch it. The virus causes fawns to drool, foam at the mouth and suffer from diarrhea and seizures. It's spread mostly when deer are gathered around water or feeding sites so that's why Fish and Wildlife is stressing to people to be aware that it's against the law to feed wildlife..so leaving them alone and keeping your distance is the best thing anyone can do during this outbreak. And that seems to be the boilerplate advice for all living things in 2020.
