Rep. Karen Bass Confident Congress Will Pass George Floyd Justice in Policing Act

In March of this year, the House passed the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which would, among other things, ban chokeholds and no-knock warrants and give the US Attorney more oversight of state and local police. It awaits consideration in the Senate. Congresswoman Karen Bass authored the bill, and she joins A Martinez to discuss its chances and the importance of it passing.

President Biden Recognizes Community Colleges in 'American Families Plan'

In primetime address tonight, President Biden is expected to outline the “American Families Plan" that would, among other things, subsidize two years of community college for low- and middle-income families.
