FilmWeek Marquee: ‘No Bears,’ ‘Saint Omer’ and ‘Plane’

Larry Mantle and KPCC film critics Amy Nicholson and Peter Rainer review this weekend’s new movie releases in theaters, streaming and on demand platforms — in three minutes or less!

Guslagie Malanda stands at the witness box in a courtroom. She wears a light brown button up sweater with short sleeves that blends into the wood paneled wall behind her. She grips the front of the witness box that encloses her as she looks off to her left. Her eyes are slightly hooded, her lips narrowly parted. Her expression is almost dazed. To her right sit two officers in uniform. One sits with his arms crossed in front of his chest while the the other sits with his hands in his lap. Both star at Malanda with curiosity and judgement.
