Warner Bros. Discovery explores sale of its media holdings

After receiving interests from multiple companies, Warner Bros. Discovery has announced it is reviewing a potential sale of all its media holdings. The Dodgers beat the Yankees to win it all last year, and they’re headed back to the World Series on Friday with a chance to become MLB’s first repeat champions in a quarter-century. Joining us today on AirTalk is the triple play, Nick Roman, host of Roman on the Radio and former host of All Things Considered on LAist as well as A Martinez, host of NPR’s Morning Edition are convening to talk about next steps for the team.

SoCal History: Cerritos used to be a cow town — what happened?

Do you know the story of L.A.’s milk shed? Long before that famous jingle “Yes Cerritos Auto Square!” took over the crevices of our subconscious, the city of Cerritos was famous for a much different reason: dairy. Southern California was huge in the industry, primarily in L.A. County. But rising urbanization threatened the farmers’ way of life, who were increasingly being pushed out of their towns. Today on AirTalk, LAist L.A. explained reporter Cato Hernández joins the program to share about our area’s bovine-erific past.
