Larry Mantle is joined by journalist and documentarian Saira Shah, to talk about her new memoir The Storyteller's Daughter (Knofp). She grew up in London as the daughter of an Afghan aristocrat, became a correspondent at age twenty-one on the front lines of the Soviet-Afghan war, and more recently imprisoned herself in a Burqua to film Beneath the Veil, the acclaimed documentary about Afghan women's lives under the Taliban.
