Penalties For California Schools Under No Child Left Behind
Over 1,200 California schools could face penalties by the end of the year if they do not reach test scores set by the federal No Child Left Behind program. Under the program, if schools do not reach set annual test score targets, they can be called “failures,” and face sanctions such as the replacement of principals or teachers.
