St. Vincent’s has shut down its liver donation program after discovering that a Saudi national was given an organ transplant two years ago that should have gone to a higher priority patient at another hospital. St. Vincent staff members then falsified documents to hide the procedure. The Future Of West L.A.’S Veterans Affairs Complex
Local residents, military veterans, and government officials were among those who spoke out during a lengthy public meeting last week on the future of the West LA Veterans Affairs complex. Development suggestions for the nearly 400-acre campus include parkland, a mixed-use residential development, and new housing and medical services for veterans. An advisory panel has issued recommendations on how to develop the property.
