Federalism For The 21st Century

AirTalk for September 22, 2008

The power struggle between state and federal government has divided American politics throughout U.S. history. In his new book, "Enhancing Government: Federalism for the 21st Century," Erwin Chemerinsky discusses his vision of federalism, which would empower rather than limit the federal government's ability to respond to society's needs. Larry speaks with Chemerinsky about his argument for federal government as well as his plans for the UC Irvine's new law school of which he is the Founding Dean.
