Next month the LA County Human Relations Committee is planning to honor Dr. Maher Hatout, senior advisor to the Muslim Public Affairs Council and Chairman of the Islamic Center of Southern California with its annual humanitarian award. But some Jewish groups have vehemently objected to the selection, accusing Dr. Hatout of being a radical disguised as a moderate and using Hatout's owns words as evidence of his extremism. Larry Mantle discusses the intense controversy surrounding Dr. Hatout's qualifications for the prestigious humanitarian award.
