Nobody thought it would be easy developing a plan to provide healthcare to California's 6.7 million uninsured residents. But as negotiations continue between the hospital association, the insurance companies, doctors, patient advocates, the Governor's office, and the legislature, it's looking like the dream of near-universal coverage is starting to unravel. However, hospitals are now backing a Schwarzenegger proposal that may start moving things in the right direction. Larry talks with KPCC's State Capital Reporter Julie Small about this latest agreement and takes an overview of the competing proposals moving around Sacramento.
