Lawsuit Filed Over Mayoral Takeover Plan
Opponents of Mayor Villaraigosa's plan to partially seize control of the LA Unified School District are suing the state to overturn Assembly Bill 1381, which gave him the authority. Plaintiffs include Congresswoman Diane Watson of Los Angeles, the League of Women Voters, a number of LAUSD parents, and the school district. Guest host Jon Beaupre talks about the lawsuit with some of the stakeholders.
Proposition 89
