Led by Senator John McCain of Arizona, a group of Republicans has passed amendments imposing restrictions on the detention, interrogation and prosecution of prisoners. The amendments were tacked onto the $440 billion military spending bill, which the White House has threatened to veto. Larry talks with Michael Kirk, producer and director of Frontline’s documentary “The Torture Question,” Eric Sears, Amnesty International’s “Denounce Torture” initiative director, and John Eastman, Professor of Law at the Chapman University School of Law, and Director of the Claremont Institute’s Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence.
