Governor Schwarzenegger had until midnight Tuesday to sign or veto hundreds of bills. The Governor said he didn't have time to properly review all the bills on his desk because of the record budget impasse that ended last week. Larry Mantle talks about the bills that made the cut and those that didn't with Los Angeles Times reporter Nancy Vogel, Press Secretary to Governor Schwarzenegger Aaron McLear, State Senate Pro Tem Don Perata, Senator Alan Lowenthal, Senator Darrell Steinberg, and Assemblyman Hector De La Torre.

Clean Trucks Program Begins at Southland Ports

A ban on old, dirty diesel trucks takes effect today at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach as the Clean Truck Program gets underway. Supporters say this will significantly cut pollution. Larry checks in with KPCC's environmental reporter Molly Peterson.

But what about a Catholic who opposes abortion personally but who supports a pro-choice candidate? Larry talks with law professor and anti-abortionist Douglas Kmeic who was recently refused communion because his support of Barack Obama. Larry also speaks with "Catholic Online" Editor-in-Chief Deacon Keith Fournier.
