For the first time ever, the California State University system may turn students away in order to cope with the ongoing state budget crisis. The proposal would cut 10,000 students from the enrollment rolls next school year. CSU is the largest university system in the country. Status Of Forces Agreement

Iraqi lawmakers Monday began debate over renewing the "Status of Forces Agreement," a pact with the United States that will allow U.S. forces to remain in Iraq for three more years. The deal would replace a U.N. mandate governing their presence in Iraq that expires December 31. Larry Mantle gets the latest from Los Angeles Times staff writer Tina Susman in Baghdad.

Southland Home Prices Tumble

A real estate tracking firm says the median home price in Southern California fell 33 percent in October from a year ago while the number of homes sold soared. In its report Tuesday, San Diego-based MDA DataQuick says the median price for homes and condos tumbled to $300,000 last month from $445,000 in October 2007. At the same time, home sales have risen 67 percent in the last year. Larry talks with John Karevoll of DataQuick about the numbers.
