After the Recall: "AirTalk" Returns to South Gate

AirTalk for November 7, 2003

How has the City of South Gate changed since the January 2003 recall election? Host Larry Mantle returns to South Gate, for a discussion in the City Council Chambers, scene of rancorous sessions just last year. The City's new Council majority, under Mayor Hector De La Torre, is working to stabilize the City's finances, left nearly bankrupt by the previous administration. Larry Mantle discusses the topic with Mayor De La Torre, Treasurer Rudy Navarro, Frank Pico Rivera, President of the Peace Officers Association, Sam Echols, a citizen of South Gate, and Angel Colon, owner of Shoe Port, a business located in South Gate.
