President Bush outlined a $7.1 billion strategy today to prepare for a pandemic influenza outbreak, saying he wanted to stockpile enough vaccine to protect 20 million Americans against the current strain of bird flu. Larry discusses the new plan and what local authorities have done to protect the public against the frightening possibility of an avian flu outbreak in Los Angeles. Larry is joined by Laurene Mascola, Chief of the Communicable Disease Program at the LA County Department of Health Services.
