Governor Schwarzenegger announces more cuts
In a plan to close California's alarming budget problem, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed slashing state employee pay by 5 percent. The pay cuts would affect 235,000 people and is part of his plan to save California $3 billion in state spending. He also reached a tentative savings deal with a federal court appointee to overhaul prison medical care for $2 billion, down from an expected cost to the state of $8 billion. Budget cuts are expected to deeply affect state parks as well, where as many as 200 parks, which draw millions of visitors, could close. Larry talks about the ever widening cuts.
