KPCC airs an hour-long Memorial Day special called "Lest We Forget," produced by The American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. The program uses oral histories collected by the Center as part of its Veterans History Project. Hosted by U.S. Senator Max Cleland and produced by Lee Woodman, "Lest We Forget" shares first-hand memoirs of soldiers who fought and survived the crucible of WWII.
