The Klamath River

In the Klamath River Basin in Northern California and Southern Oregon, five different interest groups are waging a complex and high stakes battle. Farmers, fisherman, Indian tribes, environmentalists and a power company all claim to have legal rights to Klamath River water. Also, many courts government agencies have issued rulings and reports on the river which drastically contradict each other. While the path toward resolution is far from clear, this dispute is being watched closely. California's natural resources can only become scarcer and more sought after.
