Ariel Sharon and the Israeli cabinet have accepted the Roadmap for Peace, by a 12-7 decision (with four abstentions), and with reservations. This means that Sharon and the new Palestinian Prime Minister, Mahmoud Abbas, can move forward in the creation of an independent Palestinian state. Larry Mantle has an update on the Roadmap for Peace with Matt Rees, Jerusalem Bureau Chief for Time magazine.
