In his new book Resurrecting Empire: Western Footprints and America’s Perilous Path in the Middle East (Beacon Press), Rashid Khalidi provides a modern history of western intervention in the politics of the Middle East. Mr. Khalidi, who is the Edward Said Chair in Arab Studies at Columbia University, examines the colonial history of the Middle East in the context of the American invasion and occupation of Iraq. He joins Host Larry Mantle to discuss his book.
