“AirTalk” broadcasts live from CAAM, the California African American Museum, at Exposition Park. Host Larry Mantle and guests discuss the museum’s exhibit “Through the Gates: Brown vs. Board of Education.” The exhibit examines the decision and its fall-out through an artistic lens. Joining Larry is Charmaine Jefferson, Executive Director of CAAM, Isabelle Lutterodt, artistic curator of “Through the Gates: Brown vs. Board of Education” and artist John Outterbridge, whose 2003 wood and text piece, "Review 54/Outhouse," is part of the exhibit.

Larry Mantle and critics Peter Rainer of New York Magazine, Andy Klein, film editor and chief critic of both CityBeat and ValleyBeat, and Peter Rainer of New York Magazine discuss this week's new film releases, including Shrek 2, Stateside, Strayed (Les Egares), Divan, and Love Me If You Dare (Jeux d'Enfants). Critic Lael Loewenstein of Variety calls in from France for a report on the Cannes Film Festival.

Larry and the critics also highlight The Blind Swordsman, a free screening and discussion at the Arclight Theater, Los Angeles: Site Unseen at UCLA's James Bridges Theater, and Dreams, Longings & Memories: The Cinema of Federico Fellini presented by the American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre.

FilmWeek's own Andy Klien will lead the discussion on The Blind Swordsman at the Egyptian Theatre.
