On May 1st, the ACLU of Southern California and several other civil rights organizations announced their call for a moratorium on executions in California. Larry Mantle discusses the errors and discrepancies in California's death penalty system that have lead numerous groups and individuals to demand a time out” on the death penalty in the state. He'll also talk about the death penalty moratorium in Illinois and their recently published moratorium commission report with President of Death Penalty Focus, Mike Farrell, Executive Director of the California D.A.s Association, and Peoria County State's Attorney Kevin Lyons.
