A recent report from the Texas Transportation Institute seems to indicate that HOV lanes, lanes normally reserved for cars with two or more occupants, are causing a disproportionate number of crashes.

The Pasadena Playhouse is mounting a revival of the show, Purlie, a musical based on Ossie Davis’ 1961 satirical play on racial relations, Purlie Victorious, Jon Beaupre talks with Playhouse Artistic Director, Sheldon Epps, who directs this production or Purlie and Loretta Devine, who plays the role of Aunt Missy Judson. Purlie runs through July 31 at the Pasadena Playhouse and moves on to The Goodman Theatre in Chicago in September.
