Gas prices

Listen 15:00
Gas prices

Oil prices have been oscillating due to the current economic climate. After oil prices nearly doubled in the past three months, prices fell on Monday. The lower price of oil is also reflected at the pump. With consumption at a 10-year-low and prices still low in comparison to last summer, the future of the cost of gas is uncertain.

Recession hits males hard

Recession hits males hard

Males have lost more jobs than females in the recession, accounting for three out of four of the jobs lost since December 2007. The discrepancy comes from a greater number of layoffs in industries dominated by men, including manufacturing and construction. With women now the primary earner in millions of families, the trend has implications for family dynamics and how children are raised. David Lazarus finds out more about the recession's impact on men and takes listener calls.

Remembering Ed McMahon

Remembering Ed McMahon

Ed McMahon, known for his role as Johnny Carson's sidekick on the "Tonight Show" and the trademark opener "Here's Johnny!", has died at 86. McMahon had been hospitalized for several medical conditions and passed away shortly after midnight at the Ronald Reagan/UCLA Medical Center, according to his publicist. McMahon hosted several television shows such as "Star Search", and most recently spoofed his financial troubles in a Super Bowl commercial with MC Hammer. Yet, Ed McMahon will always be remembered for being Johnny Carson's loyal second banana on the "Tonight Show." Guest host David Lazarus remembers Ed McMahon with listeners.
