What Is America’s Energy Policy?; Frank Sinatra
What Is America’s Energy Policy?
A report from the Government Accountability Office examines the nation’s current energy policy and finds a patchwork of under-funded programs, holes in research, and a general lack of a coherent strategy. Recently, Senator Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico, as well as Senators Lieberman and McCain, have pushed proposals to curb greenhouse gases. Larry talks to Mark Hertsgaard a writer and environmental correspondent for The Nation, and Adrian Moore, vice president of research at the Reason Foundation, a libertarian think tank, about the future of America’s energy policy.
