General Motors Corp. announced Tuesday that it’s cutting 25,000 U.S. manufacturing jobs and closing several plants over the next three years. The move is designed to beef up earnings for its North American auto operations but it maby not answer the key question of how General Motors is going to get people to buy more of their cars. Larry Mantle speaks with auto industry analyst James Bell about GM’s problems and the state of the American auto industry overall.
