Experts around the world and here in Southern California join Host Larry Mantle to preview this Sunday’s election day in Iraq, where citizens will go to the polls to elect members of a new Transitional National Assembly. Violence is expected, and analysts wonder how many Iraqis will actually turn out to vote. Joining Larry is: Johanna McGeary, Senior Foreign Correspondent for Time magazine (in Baghdad); Tony Perry, Los Angeles Times San Diego bureau chief (Ramadi); Hal Kempfer, LT. Colonel in the USMC Reserves and a military analyst for ABC 7 news; Rob Schmitz, KPCC Orange County Reporter (at a polling station in El Toro); William Langewiesche, Atlantic Monthly correspondent (in Baghdad), and Imam Sayyed Moustapha Al-Qazwini, Imam of the Islamic Center in Costa Mesa.
